Membership Benefits The power of a Library card opens doors to current, reliable information, opportunities for lifelong learning, and access to leisure materials. With your Library card, you can borrow books, DVDs, CDs, large print books, audiobooks, magazines, and more! You can also digitally download e-books, audiobooks and movies. Having a Library card will allow you to use the Library’s computers for Internet access, word processing and spreadsheets. You can use most of the Library’s premium online databases 24/7 from any location where there is an internet connection. The anytime/anywhere access extends to the Library’s website, catalogue, your account, placing holds and requesting interlibrary loans. That’s not all!! Our Resource Branches provide laptops for use with the Library’s WIFI system. Laptops that provide accessibility software such as Kurzweil are also available. Sign up now!
Becoming a Member Residents of the United Counties of SD&G may join the Library for free. All that is required are two pieces of identification that provide your name and address, and the completion of a registration form. Online registration is available; however, borrowing is limited to two items until your identification is confirmed by a visit to your nearest branch. Non-residents are required to pay a fee for access to the Library and its services. This fee is refundable for those who qualify as temporary residents.
