Have a difficult question that needs answering? Whether it’s for school or just for you, our Teen e-resources can help you find whatever it is you’re looking for.

Teen Programs

Many of our branches offer cool and collaborative programs for teens. We offer everything from high-tech features (iPads, robots & maker machines!) to low-tech programs (arts, crafts & STEAM-y stuff!). Check out our current listing of programs in our online calendar.

TEEN TASK FORCE (Teen Advisory Group)

Are you interested in doing your volunteer or CO-OP hours at the Library? The County Library believes in bringing youth into the planning and implementation stages of Library services and programs. Involving young people (like you!) in all that we do is important to us. With a renewed focus on youth services, we aim to engage teens and develop programs that reflect your needs. We want young people to be involved in Library activities and we need your help!

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is: to brainstorm, create, promote, and deliver Library programs for other teens.

As a member of the TTF, you’ll learn all you need to know about the Library. But most importantly, you’ll learn and acquire some great skills such as:

  • Project management
  • Teambuilding & teamwork
  • Marketing
  • Programming
  • Budgeting
  • Time management
  • Leadership
  • & more!

We are recruiting for the TTF in the following branches: Avonmore, Finch, Chesterville & Winchester.
Interested in joining our ranks? Contact Jenna at jlamarche@sdglibrary.ca or visit your local Library branch today. More volunteer opportunities can be pursued by completing a Volunteer application form.
