Why Read Them?

Graphic novels adapted from video games can be really enjoyable reads for people who can't get enough of a favourite game's story and characters! Some titles are canonical continuations of storylines that were not able to pursued in the original video games, like David Gaider's Dragon Age graphic novel, which follows King Alistair's later adventures throughout the fictional world of Thedas.

Other titles offer re-imaginings of iconic heroes and villains in standalone storylines by comics industry veterans, like celebrated Canadian author Mariko Tamaki's take on fan-favourite adventurer Lara Croft in her reboot of the Tomb Raider series.
