Support Your Library
There are many ways you can support the SDG Library - whether you choose to make a financial gift, volunteer your time or participate in a fundraising activity, your contributions help us to make a difference in our communities.
Donate
Every gift makes a difference! Financial donations to the SDG Library help to enhance our services, provide quality programs, and enrich our collections. Please consider making a donation today. For more information, please contact Rachel Vivarais, Administrative Assistant or rvivarais@sdglibrary.ca (613) 936-8777 ext. 1221.
Volunteer
Volunteers provide valuable support to Library staff through activities such as program support and branch organization. Interested in volunteering at the Library? We have a variety of opportunities available. To apply to be a volunteer, complete the Volunteer Application Form and drop it off at your local branch.
Friends of the Library
The SDG Library Board encourages the establishment of Friends of the Library groups within the Counties. A Friends of the Library group is a formally organized, independent group with its own executive committee, constitution and bank account(s). Friends of the Library groups exist to assist and support the Library's mission through various activities, including fundraising, volunteering and advocacy. Friends groups serve as "connecting links" between the Library and the community.
Current Friends of the Library groups:
- Crysler Friends of the Library
- Ingleside Friends of the Library
- Long Sault Friends of the Library
- South Mountain Friends of the Library
- Williamsburg Friends of the Library
The SDG Library Shop offers gift ideas for the library and book lover in your life. Proceeds from the sale of items help to enrich our programs and services. Take a look at what we currently have in stock at The Library Shop.
