What Services are Currently Available at the Library

All branches are now offering browsing, short stays (up to 30-minutes), in-branch holds pick-up, computer access (up to 30-minutes), and printing/faxing/photocopying services. Capacity limits and other safety measures such as maintaining physical distancing and wearing a face mask are in place to ensure the safety of our staff and the public. Please self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms before coming to the Library. If you’re feeling unwell or have any symptoms, please postpone your visit. 

Regular hours of operation are now available at Alexandria, Crysler, Ingleside, Lancaster, Morrisburg, and Winchester branches.

Our inter-library loan service will soon resume as well.

Short Stays and Browsing Collections

All branches are open for short stays and browsing of the collections. Alexandria, Crysler, Ingleside, Lancaster, Morrisburg, and Winchester branches have resumed their regular hours of operation. Branch capacity is reduced at this time and visits will be limited to 30-minutes. Please wait outside the branch if we are at capacity.

Computer Access

Access to our public computers is available at all branches for up to 30-minutes. Printing (including 3D printing), photocopying and faxing services are also available. 

Returning Items

If you’re returning items, please place them in the book returns outside the branch. Please note, returned items are quarantined for a period of time prior to being checked in. Items will remain on your account until this quarantine period is over. If you have returned an item and it is still on your account, please wait a week before following up with Library staff. No overdues will be charged.

While overdue fines will not be charged during this time, it is still important to respect borrowing periods to ensure other patrons can access materials in a timely manner. Items that are overdue for 6-weeks or more will be considered lost. Borrowing privileges will be suspended and patrons will be charged to replace these items. Charges will be removed when the items are returned.

What We're Doing to Keep You Safe

The health and safety of our staff and the public is very important to us. Our services follow all provincial and public health advice and guidelines. The following safety measures have been put in place:

  • All staff have personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Regular cleaning and disinfecting procedures are in place.
  • Physical distancing protocols are in place and signage is provided to guide patrons in following these protocols.
  • Returned materials are quarantined before re-circulating.
  • Branch capacities are limited.
