Longing to know more about your family history but keep getting stuck at that paywall? Did you know you can use Ancestry Library Edition at the SDG Library for free?

This service allows you to search for your family members, discover new connections, and send digital documents to yourself via email so that you can have a copy at home, all free of charge.

There are some limitations to Ancestry Library Edition. It can only be used in our branches, and you cannot access your own family tree from this version, so as you find those documents and connections, you will have to transfer the information into your regular Ancestry account- or paper- whatever you prefer.

To access Ancestry Library Edition, visit one of our branches during open hours and either use one of our public access computers or log onto our Wi-Fi. Click this link to go to the launch page for Ancestry Library Edition and follow the instructions. Then search and save to your heart’s content.
