February is "Love Your Library" month and for SDG Library that means the perfect opportunity to kick off our “Bring a Friend Membership Drive”. What’s that, you ask? Great question!
The idea behind our “Bring a Friend Membership Drive” is simple: from February through April current Library members can bring a friend who doesn’t have an SDG Library Card to any of our 15 branches to register from February through April. Both individuals will then receive a ballot for a monthly prize draw and be entered into the grand prize draw featuring some great local prizes!
You can bring one friend or you can bring one hundred friends. The more friends you introduce to SDG Library the more chances you have to win!
Are your friends reluctant? Here’s a list of awesome things about SDG Library that our staff have reported that people are surprised to learn:
- SDG Library Cards are FREE to anyone who lives within SDG
- Children’s materials are fine free
- We have mobile internet hotspots available for borrowing
- You can borrow instruments (try before you buy!)
- We’ve got a borrowable Dungeons and Dragons starter kit
- SDG Library offers programs for all age groups- free of charge!
- You can game in our branches.
- An SDG Library card gives you access to museum passes … for FREE
- The MakerLab, located in Finch, is packed with fun maker technology and our Maker Expert is always willing to share her knowledge
- We’ve got a Library Shop full of gift ideas and essentials (our mugs are the perfect size for your morning coffee)
- This list could go on forever!
