Canadian Library Month

October is Canadian Library Month @ the Library!

October is Canadian Library Month! We’re celebrating and raising awareness for the valuable role that libraries play in Canadians’ lives. Libraries across Canada promote cultural awareness, engage in the community, support freedom of expression, provide education programs and so much more!  The SDG Library is more than just a place to find books. We’re a place to Connect. Create. Explore.

As part of our celebrations for Canadian Library Month, we’re relaunching our passport program. We’re encouraging everyone to visit their local branch and pick up their SDG Library Passport. The goal is simple: visit as many SDG Library branches as you can, collect a stamp and a ballot, and win a prize. This year you can collect exclusive pins too. Each branch will have its own prize draw for some Library Swag and if you manage to visit all 15 branches, you’ll get a golden ballot for our grand prize draw.

Each of our branches has something unique to offer from the uniqueness of our Lancaster Branch to the high-tech, Maker mentality at the MakerLab/Finch Branch. Our staff will be pleased to help you at any one of our locations!

Join us this October and find more reasons to love your Library.
