Read for 15 SDG

Read anything, anywhere for 15 minutes!

About the Program

Read for 15 SDG celebrates Family Literacy Day that takes place every January 27 to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family.

Taking time every day to read or do a learning activity with children is crucial to a child’s development, improving a child’s literacy skills dramatically, and can help a parent improve their skills as well.

This Tuesday, join us and take the Read for 15 SDG challenge by:

  • Reading for 15 minutes.  It can be anything from books to blogs, magazines to online articles. It all counts!
  • Sharing your participation on Facebook or Instagram using #ReadFor15SDG.
  • Encouraging others to join the challenge!

The SDG Library is hosting several family storytime events, and we’d love for you and your family to join us.
