Printing services

All branches provide printing services from the public computer stations, as well as photocopying in black and white.  Printing costs are $0.25 per page for Black and White and $1.00 per page for colour printing.

Colour printing is available at the following branches:

  • Morrisburg
  • Winchester

Scanning services

Scanning to email and USB devices is available at the following branches:

Fax services

Outgoing fax services within Canada are available free of charge to Library members at all SDG Library branches.

Wireless printing

The SDG Library offers wireless printing in all branches.

To print from your laptop, tablet, or smartphone, please type in the URL or scan the QR code of the wireless printing poster found in the branch where you would like to print.

For returning wireless print users: Please note that the wireless print process was improved and changed in March 2024 to provide library users with a more seamless, simplified experience.

Printing costs are $0.25 per page for Black and White and $1.00 per page for colour printing.

Printing, Copying, Faxing FAQs

  • Library staff can assist with computer use; however, depending on the nature of your request it may be required that you schedule an appointment to ensure that staff can dedicate time to assisting you.

  • If you are downloading files that you need later, we recommend saving them to your personal USB drive or a cloud storage service. Files downloaded to our computers will be erased once you log out of the computer station.

  • SDG Library computers can be accessed using your SDG Library barcode and your 4 digit pin number. If you are having trouble logging in at the branch, please ask branch staff for assistance.

  • Yes! Our staff are happy to help you with your basic technology needs on a walk-in basis, but if you require more in-depth assistance (i.e. more than a few minutes), you can book a free one-on-one Tech Help appointment with a staff member.

  • Yes!  Some branches have charging stations for public use.  Branches also have plug-ins near seating areas so as long as your device doesn't create a tripping hazard you are free to plug in.

    Please note, charging stations and plug-ins are not monitored. You are responsible for the security of your device.

  • Yes, if you are visiting or don't have a library card branch staff can log you into a public station as a visitor.
