Join Our Book Club!

Have you ever wanted to join a book club, but feel self conscious about contributing to the discussion or just don’t want to leave the house? Did you know that we have an online book club community hosted by your local SDG Library staff. Rather than heading out to a branch or coffee shop, you can take part from the comfort of your own home!

Maybe you're asking yourself, why should I join a book club? Well, there are many benefits including:

Making you read

Yes, we mean that in a good way! Joining a book club is a great way to increase the number of books you read each year.

Broadening your horizons

The titles chosen may not be within the genres you usually read, or may tackle subject matter you aren't familiar with. You may also hear different perspectives on stories from your fellow members.

Sharing your love of books

Being able to discuss and make a genuine connection with people over a similar interest is a great way to expand your social network!

Just like a regular book club, we read a new title each month and chat about the book within our Facebook group. We also host a virtual discussion via Zoom, but attendance isn’t mandatory. We welcome everyone to be a part of the conversation at a level suits them. If you want to see what we are up to, you can find us here - Cover to Cover (SDG Library) | Facebook

If you're interested in joining an in-person book club, contact your local SDG Library branch or check out the Events page on our website for more information.
