The SDG Library hosted its annual SDG Reads “Meet the Author” event on Monday, October 6, at North Stormont Place in Avonmore. The event brought together the community in a wonderful setting to meet author, Nita Prose.
A small number of guests attended a VIP event before the main event to meet and listen to Nita in a more intimate setting. Following the VIP event, over 170 guests attended the main event. Guests listened intently as Nita shared insights and funny anecdotes about her family, growing up in a small rural town in Ontario, and her inspiration behind the characters in her Molly the Maid series.
Guests engaged in a lively Q&A session, asking thought-provoking questions and discussing various aspects of the book and her writing process. This, often humorous exchange really created a sense of community, allowing readers to feel connected not only to the author but also to one another. The evening ended with a book signing, where attendees had the opportunity to meet Nita to have their copies signed.
An event like SDG Reads is not possible without many hands and a lot of support.
