#ReadFor15SDG Challenge

Read for 15 minutes on January 26th or January 27th to celebrate Family Literacy Day!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 18, 2024

SDG Counties- On Friday, January 26, and Saturday, January 27, the SDG Library invites residents throughout the SDG Counties to join our annual ‘Read for 15 SDG’ Challenge, where we challenge you to read for at least 15 minutes. We’d love for you to participate!

The ‘Read for 15 SDG’ Challenge is a fun and easy way to promote literacy in our communities in connection with Family Literacy Day. The challenge encourages everyone to read for 15 minutes on January 26 or January 27, 2024 – read a book, a magazine, an essay, an online article, a blog post, or anything else you’d like.

It's easy to participate. Simply:

  1. Read anything you want - a book, a magazine, an essay, online articles, a blog post, anything!
  2. Tell us your read by posting on social media using the hashtag #ReadFor15SDG, email us at programs@sdglibrary.ca, or comment below on this post.
  3. Challenge your friends and family to participate too!

Read together or read on your own - just don't forget to read!

Don't forget to let us know how many people in your family participated in the Challenge. Emails should be sent to programs@sdglibrary.ca. Together we can show SDG our love for reading! Feel free to share photos of your family reading for us to post on social media!
