Pages for Presents

Give the Gift of Literacy

It's a Wrap for 2025!
Our Pages for Presents initiative this year wrapped up with an incredible 216 books donated!
Your support and generosity made this possible.
Because of you, children will discover new worlds, new heroes, and maybe even a new love of reading. That's the kind of magic only a community can create.
Thank you to our community partners for welcoming the donations:
💛 Children's Aid Society
💛 Koala Place
💛 Naomi's House
💛 House of Lazarus
A big thank you from all of us at the SDG Library.

About Pages for Presents

This season, help us give the gift of literacy to children in our community.  At the SDG Library, we believe that literacy is the foundation for a lifetime of learning and it starts with a single book.

Through our Pages for Presents initiative, we’re inviting the community to help us put books into the hands of children who need them most. It’s a simple act with lasting impact.

Here’s how you can participate:

  • Visit any SDG Library branch.
  • Select a tag from our Pages for Presents display (each tag lists a book type and age group).
  • Purchase a new book that matches the tag.
  • Return the book (unwrapped) to the Library by November 29.
  • Prefer to let us handle the shopping? Simply make a monetary donation, and we’ll take care of the rest

Through our community partners, your donation helps put books into the hands of local children and youth, nurturing a lifelong love of reading.

Early access to books builds vocabulary, sparks curiosity, and lays the groundwork for success in school and beyond. A single story can inspire confidence, connection, and a lifelong love of reading.

This is more than a holiday drive, it’s a shared investment in literacy, equity, and the future of our community and we hope you will be able to join us.
