2024 Reading Challenge

Announcing the 2024 SDG Library Reading Challenge!

Is your New Year’s resolution to read more? Join the SDG Library and its 2024 Reading Challenge! This year-long challenge is designed to help readers connect with new titles and authors, create community connections, and explore by reading outside their comfort zone.

How it works:

Each month, read at least one title from the reading prompts provided.

Read in whichever format you prefer: print, eBook, audiobook, or any combination.

Share what you’re reading by commenting the title and author of the book on our monthly blog posts.  Use the hashtag #SDG2024ReadingChallenge or join the Facebook group. Watch for monthly recommendations on social media, too.

Here’s the list of monthly prompts:

January: Read a debut title/author from 2023

February: Read a book by a BIPOC author

March: Read a book that was adapted into a movie

April: Read a graphic novel or manga

May: Read a biography or memoir

July: Dive into a book set in Canada

August: Read a fantasy or sci-fi book
