Check out new Kids DVDs or stream something on  Kanopy.  This resource offers kid friendly content that’s free with your SDG Library card.

Do a Library Tour
Explore branches across SDG. Some libraries have 3D printers and we have the MakerLab in Finch.  There are 15 branches waiting for you to discover! How many have you visited?

Here are some other ideas for fun and free activities that you can do this March Break as suggested by Parents Canada:

  • Make homemade bird feeders for the backyard. Good ol’ pinecones smeared with nut butter and rolled in bird seed will do the trick!
  • Go geocaching. There are many geocaching apps you can download for free to score some cool finds in your area.
  • Hike the local trails (or venture a little further afield to check out a trail you’ve never visited before).
  • Have a movie marathon/pyjama day. Let everyone in the family pick a flick.
  • Do a new puzzle together.
  • Make homemade ice cream.
  • Plan a picnic. If the weather isn’t great, have a living room picnic.
  • Make oven s’mores.
  • Do a new puzzle together.
  • Do an outdoor scavenger hunt

No matter what you do this March Break we hope you have fun!
